As a sculptural medium, glass is perhaps the most rewarding material. Glass objects possess an ethereal power that stems from a threefold ability to refract, reflect and transmit light with minimal scattering.  It comes in many varieties, and can be worked in various states.  From blown glass, to cast crystal, or layering lead free, low-iron plate glass, the possibilities are expansive.
Etching, intaglio, mixing real metals, using pure lusters and glass enamels on multiple planes to explore light, both natural and artificial, the versatility of this material has consistently held the artist’s attention.
